With gas prices over $4.00 a gallon for regular, many people are purchasing electric cars. There are several electric cars out now but they are pretty expensive. If you are one of those owners the biggest problem you have is where to charge the car.
Google have partnered with companies such as Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Tom Tom and Best Buy to form the GeoEVSE Forum in order to build a database of all charging stations so that Google can map them.
Soon you will be able to with a couple clicks be able to see where you can charge your car and all electric supply locations. The sky is the limit with this and it is all about convenience. They are also in talks about being able to release the data to GPS or navigation systems.
Technology is amazing, and although there are not that many electric car owners, I believe they too will come down in price and we will soon be looking for that next electric car charging station.
