Nine out of ten realtors are certain they will remain in some part of the real estate business compared to six out of ten last year. (But a lot of those are gone). We've made it this far, no reason to give up now!
The median income for real estate agents with 2 years or less experience is $8,900 per year
The median income for real estate agents with 16 years of experience is $47,100
16% of realtors earned six figures or more
Our office $82,000 a year last year.
14% of real estate agents worked 20 hours a week or less
30% of real estate agents worked 20-39 hours per week
41% of realtors worked 40-59 hours per week
and 15% of realtors worked 60 or more hours per week
To put some perspective on these numbers -- 44% of the competition are part time! And the typical age of a realtor 56 and works 40 hours per week.
Speaking of NAR, The yearly dues is going up $40 per year. Even if you don't support the candidate NAR contributes to you have to admit NAR has extraordinary influence in Washington -- 40 million in lobby and love. Appraisers have been tarred and feathered, mortgage bankers are now finger printed and their compensating is dictated by the government. You should be proud to be a member!
