Highland Beach Condos, Boca Raton Homes, Boca Raton Real Estate Advice and Opinions: I Can't do everything Can I?

I Can't do everything Can I?

With all this social networking with websites like facebook, twitter, multiply, active rain, and more how do you find the time to do what we do best.  Sell Real Estate.  I mean I am on all of these websites, as well as updating my Boca Raton Homes Website, and my Highland Beach Condos website.

  • I update the content on all of my websites.
  • I constantly am letting people know what I am doing on facebook.
  • I follow people and post on twitter.
  • I try and play the SEO card with my websites.

I wonder however if I just stopped doing the internet thing and just concentrated on traditional methods of listing and selling real estate if I would be as successful or even more successful then I am now.  I average selling around 5 - 6 million a year.  I am sure my competition would like for me to give the internet stuff up then they could rank higher and bring in more leads.  However, I really believe if fyou work hard at selling real estate whether through traditional or alternative methods you will be successful.

David...

I think many salespeople are spreading themselves thin. It's not humanly possibly to cover every social networking site, do standard marketing and connect with people in person. I think a little of this and a little of that goes a long way :)

It sounds like you have a system that works and you just need to tweak it hear and there to find how you can maximize the time spent.  Don't break what is working

Which brings me to my next blog topic. Look for it because I'm planning to write it after I write this note. Basically I agree. How much time can you possibly spend on all the available social networking and still run your business.

Scott, I agree to a certain extent, but I think we always have to look for improvement.

Robin, I wholeheartedly agree.  I think in order to do everything and be effective you need to work 21 hours a day or have 2 assistants.  Thank you for your comment.

I facetiously tell my clients that I'm available 30 hours a day, 8 days a week, and still some of them don't get it. Keeping the web sites updated with the listings and changes to them, and doing the social net-working thing takes it's time and time management becomes critical.

I decided to just do the minimum on the social networking so I could have the time to do money making tasks.

I got overwhelmed with all this social networking and recruiting so I am in the process of hiring an assistant and I found this great one for only $6 dollars an hour. She is a VA virtual assistant. Plus they gave me 2 free days to try them out...they are so smart!
